It’s been a while, but I thought it was time to podcast again
I love making podcasts. My first one was my “Walkabout Podcast” I started in 2005 and ran for a year or so. Just me walking around the neighborhood talking about marketing.
Later Jim Turner and I did a show on Blog Talk Radio on business blogging (still not called content marketing yet) and I loved being able to have guests on live and record the episodes.
I did a short podcast with two minute WordPress tips…a tip you could do and I could explain in two minutes or less. That was fun, but I ran out of tips pretty quickly.
Now it’s time to get back at it.
My Ink Stained Fingers is born
I’ve been working on this podcast idea for a few months. I recorded two pilot episodes before I got an idea—based on the first, unreleased pilots—to talk about how a D- in English was the catalyst for where I am today.
I’ve recorded two more episodes to kick things off and now I’ll switch to a weekly schedule. And I’m going to be looking for guests!
I’m planning episodes on:
- Becoming a freelance writer
- Your writing process
- How to do a content calendar right
- How to wrangle the editing process
- How to wrangle getting posts approve
- Publishing posts
- Newsletters
- Webinars
- Podcasts
- Tools and tips for better writing
And probably a lot more.
The podcast is available on Anchor.fm and Spotify now, but should be available on Apple and the other usual suspects soon. Have a listen and I hope you like it.
If like to be a guest, leave a comment or send me an email.
