Basecamp Canada Launched! Practical AI Training Without Fluff or Hype

Three things I want you to know and stuff I’m still building

I’ve been quiet for a bit. A lot going on, like being heads down building a lot of AI training modules.

A lot.

Here’s a quick update on what’s been going on lately…

Basecamp Canada is open!

I’m now an official instructor—and the first international instructor—for Peak Intelligence the UK-based AI training program that’s been running Basecamp AI courses for professionals across Europe. I’ve run the dress rehearsal. The feedback was good. Now I’m bringing it here to North America.

TL;DR: Basecamp is a two-hour, hands-on workshop — no theory, no fluff, no generic slides with “AI is changing the world…” and arm-waving prognostications. This is real, practical training. Exercises that you can actually connect with, like dealing with all those AI-recorded meetings and turning them into useful follow up reports. Plus optional modules for job hunting, creating graphics, presentations and more. We work with actual content. You leave with things that work for your job, built during the session—plus more than a few pieces of bonus content for you too.

That’s the whole philosophy. The example is the lesson. I talk about the fundamentals, of course, but I make sure we spend at least 90 minutes with hands-on work.

First Canadian session is being scheduled now. Save your spot on the waitlist here.

Need custom AI training for your team? I’m available.

Basecamp and Elevate are core foundations , but every company is different. Every industry is different. I’ll work with you to build custom sessions focused on your tools, your workflows, your people’s actual jobs. Half-day, full-day, or a series. Same approach: hands-on, practical, no generic decks.

If your team is AI-curious but AI-stuck, that’s exactly who I build this for. Get in touch here on Substack, email me or book a call and let’s see how I can help.

Basecamp and Elevate for marketing is coming

Basecamp and Elevate are excellent foundations, but marketers have specific problems—content audits, brand voice, briefs, campaign analysis, presentations, content creation—and they need a full program built just for them. Not just marketing examples dropped into a general course—the real stuff I’ve been doing my self for three years. A complete Basecamp ? Elevate track, built for marketing teams from the ground up, is coming very soon.

I’m building it now, it’s not ready yet, but if you’re a marketer, or you lead a marketing team, I want to hear from you: what’s the one thing you most want AI to handle? I’m serious. Tell me, I want to know.

That’s what’s going on right now. More soon.

Learning by doing to see what’s possible I started “vibe coding” before I even knew the term. My first foray was moving multivariate stats analysis of podcast data from Copilot to VS Code so the (stupid) charts would render. What did work out, though, was making my first Chrome extension….

I am extremely excited to announce the official launch of my hands-on AI for Content Marketers Workshop.
