After discovering TheOpenCD.org project through an article in PCWorld, I found the free multi-network IM client called Miranda IM.  Miranda IM works using a plugin architecture, one plugin allows you to post to your Blogger based blog through IM.
This is a post through the interface.  So far, so good.
