The free e-mail/web-based e-mail wars are definitely heating up.  With the purchase of Oddpost I think Yahoo is going to try to woo more people to web-based e-mail over Outlook Express and other free e-mail programs.  This isn't going to touch Outlook users I don't think, unless they provide good was to tie-in and sync on the road. Certainly shaping up to be an interesting summer.  Massive portal buys small vendor that sells low-priced Web mail accounts and news aggregation services.  [CNET News.com]
