Update Sept 4th: I added links to the core apps that I use on my iPad for writing.
If you want to leave your laptop at home and just wander with your iPad, that’s cool. I’ve written a lot about doing that. In fact I’ve written a day’s worth of posts on my iPad while I was sick in bed (write, nap, edit, nap, post, nap). So this is an update to my year-old post on how to blog from your iPad.
The slides I made with Haiku Deck are pretty, but don’t tell the entire story—that’s what my WordCamp Vancouver talk is for.
But here are some tips to get you started.
Decide what you really want to do.
Just writing the post on your iPad—my iPad is one of my favorite and most efficient places to write—or writing and posting or the whole shebang of writing, posting, and admin. What you want to do determines the tools you need and how you approach things.
Pick your tools
To be frank you can do it. Simple posts are easy, but throw in a few images, custom fields, and lots of research; things get tricky.
