WeatherBug Creates Desktop Software User’s ‘Bill of Rights

This is a very important first step towards pulling ad-supported, free software off the blacklist. I hope Qualcomm does the same thing soon with Eudora. I really liked Eudora and didn't really mind the ads too much. Somewhere buried in the user agreement was a privacy clause, but a public statement like this will go a long way to alieve people's fears.

Desktop software firm WeatherBug has created what it's calling a “bill of rights” for consumer and business users who download desktop applications. The statement of principles is posted on its Web site at www.weatherbug.com/billofrights.
